The Initial Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform as a new development. The past year represented complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.

The Current Inclusions

A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
